Julianne Skai Arbor, aka ‘TreeGirl’, is an internationally-known photographer, ISA certified arborist, naturalist, educator, forest ecotherapist, speaker and author of the 2017 Nautilus Book Award Winner for Art and Photography, TreeGirl: Intimate Encounters with Wild Nature– an anthology of self-portrait photographs and natural history of 50 species of trees she encountered and researched over 15 years.

TreeGirl travels around the world to learn from the trees first hand, and with a remote control and a tripod, photographs herself intertwined in intimate connection with the forest. To date, she has intertwined with over 80 species of trees in 16 countries: some of them are the oldest, largest and most sacred tree beings in the world. With her passion for trees she creates an experiential bridge for people to connect with wild nature through presentations, forest ecotherapy sessions, workshops and trainings, to help us remember that we are nature.
